I became the She-wolf...

Please tell me I did not just read that...

This reading just got me 120% confused to what does Elizabeth want and why this is important. I mean serious I swear I had to reread lines just to make sure that I was not falling asleep and making up random words in a sentence.
Did I forget to mention I am obsessed with the show of Big Brother (US, UK, and CAN)?
All I kept thinking about is that Elizabeth and Robert should just have slept together and get married so that they can do all of us a favor? I mean serious I do not want to get another Mockingjay moment where I get all this lovey dubby stuff... (Because if you have not read Mockingjay it is basically Katniss's thoughts delivered in a hot mess bun...)

Ok maybe it is just me, but I tend to just zone out whenever I read something I have about -10% interest in. I am not the type of fan of romantic novels that have the "Fabio" on the front cover or the woman in a fancy dress with no appearance of the head because it got cut off. I rather sit down and read some dystopian utopia science fiction thriller fiction type of books. I mean if you were to come to my house and go to my room, all you would see are those type of books on my book shelves and the other piles of books that I have. Irony coming from a person who decided to minor in Literature. I start to think about what type of people would want to read this. Surely, any Elizabethian- History buff would be all over this novel there is no tomorrow but still. If I was not required to read this book, I surely would have never have picked it up if I ever saw it. I feel like there are people out there who have different tastes in what they liked to read and would never dare to outside that genre to explore the other worlds...

Ok that is enough blogging, I got some math homework to decipher...  #MathMajorProblems
#RoomGoals...my bank account is screaming right now

THE SASS OF IT ALL

w
"Lord Robert, you make whores of my ladies, but you will not make one of me"
Our first female avatar for this class, Queen Elizabeth, who from this movie has grown to be a very sassy person.
"I may be a woman sir William, but if I so choose it I have the heart of a man."
If that does not scream extreme sass then I do not know what else will. Oh yeah the first quote in this post. I mean she, one does not want a man who makes her feel guilty, and two at the end she literally says she is married to England. She needs no man!

Anyways, the start of the movie where the Catholics are preparing the Protestants to be burned at the stake gave me a really American Horror Story: Coven vibe there goes Mat referring to AHS again... #NOTMYFAULT
Like do you not see the resemblance?

Also I really liked how the costume designer really matched Elizabeth's Coronation Outfit to the t.
Another thing I noticed while watching is the it seems that the movie follows a pattern of alternating between light and dark scenes. While watching I was wondering why they kept doing that. Then again I was wondering why they needed to torture people or burn people at the stakes like... why? Also they captured Elizabeth to imprisoner for having conspiracy to murder but then release her to become Queen of England like...
WHAT IS YOUR LOGIC PEOPLE?!?!?!
In all this movie was all over the place...no wonder I fell asleep while watching it ( Ok for the record everyone was speaking very softly and it bored me to sleep like it is not my fault if they decide to speak softly and then out of the blue just be loud again...)
(Sorrynotsorry)

WHAT THE FLIPSNOOGLE DID I JUST WATCH?!?!?!

I like to first mention the amount of nudity in this show is tremendous... Something tells me I will not be able to watch this in public. Yes I decided to start from episode one, sorry but a list and description of every main character is not enough for me, I have to watch it from the start. Also I have a question... WHY WERE THEY SO INTO USING CRUCIFCATIONS AS A FORM OF TORTURE? Like I expected this from American Horror Story: Asylum

I was going to add a picture from AHS... but that would be too graphic so here is a picture of a boxer dog named Roman (yes he is my dog don't judge me) instead 😏

but from this um... Yeah no. Also things escalate so fast that I'm like... Hold up what just happened and why did it go this far. Also if you have not noticed I am writing this blog post AS I am watching this series so if these words chained together in an order makes a disorder to you... pound sign not my fault

So anyway, if you have not watched the entire series, well here is the jist of it... there is a lot of drama, blood, nudity (sex scenes 😱), and more blood. I am not kidding with the blood there is some sort of big blood scene in almost every episode. (If you haven't seen episode 11, you haven't seen big blood scene) That is HBO big budget for you. Big bucks= big blood and realism. You think with all this blood you think I would press the nope button and evacuate the Amazon screen. But, sorry magical reader of this blog post you are mistaken. I watch greys anatomy AND I watch random surgeries on YouTube. ( Did I forget to mention I want to specialize in Trauma Medicine in medical school?) So blood is no big deal to me.

( Like I would post some bloody thing, I think you guys had enough of that)

So yeah I think it is nice that this series take a background look into Rome during the trail to Caesar's power reign. I mean if you haven't seen the entire series you are missing out on a lot of information. But, we can see that the reason Caesar gets stabbed is because Brutus orchestrated it. But also the part you did not see in the required episode readings that Brutus and Caesar make amends, but in the final episode, Brutus betrays Caesar and stabs him... Of course not saying the famous line but whatever that is not point. I really enjoyed watching this and getting really involved with the series, I mean I managed to watch the entire season in 2 days and still have tie to write this blog post. I should get a gold star of this accomplishment.

After Published Blog Post Addition: As I am watching Season 2 ( which is the aftermath of the death of Julius Caesar) the reason Caesar did not say the famous lines is well, he actually tried to, according to the now traumatized Brutus.

Reality Check: Media

First off Hi! It has been a long time since we have written things.
Now lets get to blog writing!
(Did I forget to mention I have an entire arsenal of gifs?)
When I was looking at the Wikipedia page, I was amazed at all the types of media out there--both physical and digital. I mean I'm no artist or anything ( No, really I'm not that much of an artist, just look at my deviant arts page) wait a second...

I just realized something, there is a lot types of social media out there in the interwebs. I mean I could list them all out but that would very....very....very boring (not even my sarcasm jokes and gifs/pics can help). But seriously there are is a lot. There are social media geared toward different subjects, for example Goodreads, the facebook for book lovers. There is also again deviantart, where people can share their works to the community. So obviously we see where I gravitate towards, considering the fact I practically live on the internet but for good reason. Back when I used to play this one game (not going to mention it because you guys will probably get the wrong idea ;) ), I started gaining all these friends from around the globe and we started talking to each other via social media. Even now about 7 years later I still talk to some of the people now, even though we all have grown up and move into our young adult lives.  To me social media makes me believe that we are not far apart, infact we are closer than we think. Now, I mainly used the typical teenage/young adult social media outlets most people used...except pintrest...only because I need to have some self control or I will end up baking anything that pops up on my feed. It gives me an outlet to rant or just be the really random weird person that majority of you guys don't get to see in class because I'm too shy to say anything. Yes on social media I am a social butterfly, only because I don't have to look at somebody's face :D. But, I should not take this for granted as real relationship come from human contact (which is an entire blog post in itself).

Sidenote: if you still use myspace or pronounce gif as jif like the peanut butter....

(sorry I needed an excuse to use this gif and the g in gif is graphic so yeah)

Tonypandy of Time

First off, I would like to mention that autocorrect keeps changing “Tonypandy” to “to panda”. Not that it would be totally awesome for there to be pandas in this story, but the story would have  gone from history disguised as a mystery novel to a totally fictional story about two pandas trying to solve a mystery. Now that I think about it, it is not a bad idea somebody should write that fan-fiction. Anyway, enough with my obsession with pandas, it is time to figure out what in the world of the Oxford Dictionary is the word tonypandy?

“It’s the damnedest silliest name, isn’t it?”

My handy-dandy dictionary on my ebook version of this book says… no word found… Ok…thanks iBooks for your help. Sure I could have just googled  “Tonypandy definition” but that would only be only half of the fun of figuring out what the word means. Since I am not going to take the easy way out, I am going to have to figure out this word the hard way, reading for context clues. Suddenly this is feeling like I am taking the SAT again at least this time I know what I am doing, hopefully.

Each time the word “tonypandy” in The Daughter of Time appears it is when Grant looks at a historical reference. Even so Grant does end up adopting this term and using it quite often in the story. Grant observes multiple sides of who Richard III really was. Some people believe he was an innocent and noble king; while other believed he was an evil, vicious, vile murder who killed the princes in the tower. So, would tonypandy mean a widely believed fact about a historical event and or person? Even then, it begs the question what is truly history and what is truly fiction?

As both words have similar meanings in a way, history is what truly happened in the past by historical documents as proof and fiction is tale that does not have or has little any backup proof. But here is the thing, how do truly know that the history we believe is truly what happened? Let me paint this picture, in kindergarten we learned that the first thanksgiving was all joyful and happy. But, we later learned that it was not the case and in fact it was the opposite. Henry the IV had a historian to write down all the events so how do we know that what he wrote down was the truth because mostly likely he would have been persuaded to write nasty things about the previous king to make the previous king look bad and make the current king look great.

Well, whatever tonypandy actually means I can guess it has to do with something with history. Ok I could just google it at this point after going through all this analysis but, there is snow outside that is begging to be played with ( Don’t judge me, I’m from Southern California, there is no such thing as snow 😏☃)
